Mumbai Covid Case Update: The Mumbai Municipal Corporation was successful in preventing the spread of corona in the city and after about two and a half years (16 March 2020), on Tuesday (24 January 2023), not a single case of corona infected patients has been reported. This is a relief for the people of Mumbai. Corona entered Mumbai in March 2020 and after that the number of patients affected by corona increased rapidly.
After the arrival of Corona in Mumbai, the number of affected patients had crossed 21 thousand while the death toll from Corona reached 100 every day. However, due to various rules implemented by the state government and BMC, Mumbai was able to deal with all the three waves of Corona. Meanwhile, three waves of corona have come in Mumbai so far and new variants like Omicron BF 7, XBB, XBB 1.5 have entered Mumbai.
Currently there are so many active patients in the city
However, due to various measures implemented by the municipality, the outbreak of corona in Mumbai has been successfully contained. The number of infected patients has stabilized at 11 lakh 55 thousand 240 on Tuesday (January 24) due to the presence of zero corona infected patients during the day. Zero deaths were recorded today, the death toll has reached 19 thousand 747. Meanwhile, there are currently 23 active patients in the city.
Eight cases of Kovid-19 in Maharashtra
The state health department said that Maharashtra has identified eight corona infected on Tuesday. No one has died due to corona in the last 24 hours. Pune, Mumbai and Nashik circles have registered two cases each. While Akola and Aurangabad circles have registered one infection case each.
